Nice to have

Review Date: April 10, 2009
Reviewer: Christopher Dowell,
If you keep your proof of insurance & registration papers in your glove compartment (And I would certainly hope that as a good citizen you do) then this is a nice to have product. I'm a bit of a meticulous type so when I saw this product I said to myself this would go well in the glove compartment so that I don't have to fumble through papers if & when I have to get out my registration. If you have to cross State lines or go through one of those "check points" you simple pop open the glove compartment & there it is. No papers to have to go through searching for it or anything.
Good, but not great

Review Date: January 30, 2010
Reviewer: Scott Pass, Limerick, PA
These plastic registration/insurance wallets are nice, but there's a problem: the plastic windows they use to hold the documents in place don't age well in a car that gets subjected to cold and heat. After about 12 months, they get become a wrinkled mess, and the ink on the documents sticks to the inside of the windows. So I wind up throwing the thing out and buying a new one. I've probably gone through about a dozen of them this way. Fortunately, they're cheap so I suppose if you're willing to replace the wallet every time you get a new insurance card, they're okay. Right now I'm looking for a longer-lasting solution.
