From the supplier: Automobile insurance agents have scheduled a meeting in Houston, TX at which a national alliance of independent auto agents will be created. National Auto Agents Organizing Committee Interim Chmn Don Stewart said that a national organization is needed to prevent any further erosion of the agent's role in the auto insurance market. Stewart claims that auto insurance companies are trying to cut agents out of the market by reducing commissions and by controlling volume and rates.
