Have you ever noticed how people will choose what they are going to spend big dollars for and what they are going to go cheap on?  We're all different in what we are going to pay for and what we aren't.  I tend to be this way with corner shop items.  I don't care what brand name the item is as long as it's a good value .  I have never been so blown away by one brand or another that I want to purchase one over the other.

There are other things that I have tried to save on, but have revealed that the least expensive is not always the best.  We were searching for better rates on our vehicle insurance.  We felt the amount we were paying was rather high.  So we found some car insurance reviews online, which led us to a discount car policy quote.  The savings were important.  We were careful to enter all the information requested on the forms for the quote so we would maintain the same coverage.  So we decied to buy car insurance online. Even though the insurance company didn't want to send it out before us signing up, we probably did get a full copy of the general policy.  There were some things that we were giving up going with the cheap car insurance, but it looked worth it.  The main thing we were letting go of was a free rental vehicle in case our vehicle was in for repairs.  We reasoned that we have an extra car that we utilize for personal purposes, so we would be able to use that one if one of the vehicles we use daily is in the service station.

We were all set to sign for the cheap car insurance when we were approached by the company and were told that they rate would be higher than we were originally quoted.  The initial quote was for the three cars that we would have liked to insure, however our driving history wasn't taken into account.  I had received a speeding ticket thirty-two months before the quote and my man had received on 8 months prior to the quote.  The speeding citations stay on your record for three years and influenced the premium by over six hundred dollars a year.  Two things actually surprised me.  One was the indisputable fact that the 2 tickets had that large of an affect and 2 that the company would send out papers to sign us up and give us a quote before having our driving history in front of them.  This experience taught us to ask lots more questions when being given a quote.  The main question to ask is if the insurance quote is in particular for your driving history and your vehicles or if is a general listing based primarily on the auto only.
